Another interesting use of the word "persuade" by Nephi is in 1 Nephi 6:4 -- "For the fulness of mine intent is that I may persuade men to bcome unto the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, and be saved."
That is an interesting use of the word. In the ensuing verse he also helps to strengthen the categorization that is emphasized in the post "Why Did Laman and Lemuel Ignore the Counsel of Their Brother? How Do We Avoid the Same Mistakes?" The simple fact that the verses came to Nephi one after another, perhaps indicates there is a correlation of the two ideas. Austin Hammer Section 113
